In PEEK material development, one question remains central: how can a grade combine high strength and stiffness with the ability to fill complex injection moulds and deliver a high-quality surface in extruded products? Achieving this balance requires advances in both material performance and processing behaviour.
ZYPEEK introduces ZYPEEK 700G, an unfilled PEEK grade developed through two decades of technical experience at Jilin Joinature Polymer Co., Ltd.

01 Optimised Mechanical Strength and Stiffness
ZYPEEK's independently developed PEEK technology precisely controls the molecular chain structure. Alongside a higher crystalline fraction, it introduces a structure formed by specific molecular chains that helps transfer and distribute stress under load, supporting toughness as stiffness increases.

700G combines high strength and modulus with good notched impact strength and elongation at break.
Higher crystallinity reduces the proportion of amorphous material and produces a denser structure.
Long-term stability is improved in demanding environments involving acids, alkalis, organic solvents and high-temperature steam, making the grade particularly relevant to dynamic components exposed to cyclic loading.
02 Improved Crystallisation Behaviour
Crystallisation directly influences the final physical properties of PEEK parts. Improvements in both the degree and rate of crystallisation allow 700G to develop a stable crystalline structure more quickly during moulding, helping improve dimensional stability and mechanical performance.

The improvements in crystallinity and crystallisation rate offer the following benefits:
Higher crystallinity: a lower amorphous fraction supports higher strength and modulus, improved heat resistance and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, and better wear and creep resistance.
Faster crystallisation: rapid crystallisation at elevated temperatures reduces post-moulding shrinkage and supports dimensional stability. Crystallisation can begin at lower mould temperatures, helping shorten injection-moulding cooling times and improve capacity utilisation in high-volume production. More uniform crystallisation across thick sections reduces skin-core differences. In many applications, the required properties can be achieved without secondary annealing, simplifying production.
03 Improved Rheological Performance
Optimisation of polymer chain composition and structure gives 700G distinctive shear-thinning behaviour.
Under low-shear conditions, such as after the melt enters the mould cavity, its higher viscosity helps resist sagging under its own weight and supports the dimensional stability of extruded profiles. During injection moulding, this behaviour also supports pressure holding and helps prevent flash. Under high-shear conditions, such as high-speed filling, viscosity decreases, helping reduce equipment load and improve filling efficiency.

A wider processing window: this can help reduce energy consumption and the risk of thermal degradation while accommodating a wider range of processing aids.
More complete filling: lower melt-flow resistance improves the filling of complex, thin-walled mould cavities and helps reduce rejects caused by short shots.
Lower injection pressure: compatibility with lower-tonnage equipment can reduce equipment requirements. More uniform melt distribution in the cavity also supports part consistency.

04 Improved Quality of Extruded Profiles
Optimised process design improves the purity of 700G.
In extrusion applications, appearance quality and dimensional accuracy can meet the requirements of high-precision components, with fewer surface defects. This is particularly relevant to profiles and complex cross-sections with strict surface-quality and dimensional-tolerance requirements.
